Our objective is primarily to provide elegant and practical solutions to everyday problems of modern man, through high-end and innovative leather accessories. We conceive authentic, handcrafted and durable items, with refined, vintage and masculine designs, in which we seek, ultimately, to provide additional very practical service, from the subtle integration of new technologies. We believe that everyday objects in a world increasingly mobile and connected, must be true allies to face any situation with elegance.

But “De Rigueur” is also a tribute to our craftsmen’s meticulous work which is at the very heart of the brand. Indeed this work requires rigor and time to get to a beautiful handcrafted product. In fact, all craftsmen we work with have a real experience in the handmade leather industry, with years of work with prestige luxury houses, like Hermes, Louis Vuitton, or Goyard.

De Rigueur also felt appropriate considering the economic environment: we are a startup of the crisis, born in a world where governments are implementing austerity policies, or “politique de rigueur” in French, instead of encouraging people to create companies and jobs. And we know what we are talking about … as we are French!! So De Rigueur is our way to tell them “Whatever!”

Finally, the good thing with "De Rigueur", is that this word is fully understandable in English too, like "Déjà vu", "fiancé" and so ever, and means the same thing, something adapted to the current situation.
We have been living this project 1 000% for more than a year months now, travelling across France to find the best craftsmen, and Italy for the best materials, and are really, really happy, to show you our very first collection!
